Career Redirection

The global financial crisis has changed the world of work for the foreseeable future – possibly forever.

People who expected to work in their industry sector for their entire careers are now being forced to look at a much broader employment market as entire sectors disappear or contract to such a degree that jobs simply don’t exist there any more.

For individuals who believed they had their careers mapped out, this is a difficult transition and the next step they take could be critical to the rest of their lives.

With a redundancy payment in their hands, a whole panorama of opportunities will open up. Some of these could involve extensive (and expensive) retraining. But what happens if, at the end of it, they simply aren’t suited to the new career? They may have the hard skills to do the job, but they don’t have the soft skills to make a success of it.

Profiles Transition Coach has been developed to identify those careers that best suit a person’s soft skills.

It makes no commentary on the hard skill requirements of a particular career (although it provides a significant volume of guidance and information to help respondents to research the hard skill requirements) but it provides significant reassurance for those seeking a new career direction that if they invest their money in retraining, it’s in a career to which they’re well suited.

Transition Coach can be used by Outplacement Agencies and Career Coaches but is also available to individuals who weren’t fortunate enough to have been offered this type of advice. If you are a private individual wanting career guidance, please click the link to learn more and to register to take the assessment.

If you work in Outplacement or Career Guidance/Coaching and would like to know more about how you could work with Profiles international to use Transition Coach, please contact us. We’d love to hear from you.
